Published Work

I’m a Perth-based writer, journalist, and researcher. My short fiction has been published in Australia and the United Kingdom and my journalism has been published in Australia and Japan. My story Golden appears in Once: A Selection of Short Short Stories and Water in Twice Not Shy: One Hundred Short Short Stories, both published by Night Parrot Press in Western Australia. My long short story Ukini Nageni (Flotsam and Jetsam) was published in 10 Journeys: The Short Story Reinvented by LegendPress in London, the fifth in their acclaimed short story reinvented series.

I have worked as a journalist and columnist with bylines in Kansai Time Out (Japan), The Australian, Fairfax Digital, and Offspring Magazine, and spent a number of years writing speeches and executive communications for senior university leaders. I am currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Education at Curtin University, where I hold a nationally competitive scholarship, and am developing a YA novel following my selection for the Faber Academy's Writing a YA Novel program, in partnership with Allen & Unwin.

My journalism and features writing has been published by Kansai Time Out (Japan), The Australian, Fairfax Digital, and Offspring Magazine, covering topics ranging from parenting and education to culture and society. I also worked for a number of years as a columnist for a parenting magazine.
